Abdullah is a partner in our dispute resolution practice who have been working with us for more than five years. Abdullah leads our dispute resolution practice and local and international arbitration and advises Saudi and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate matters, foreign investment, commercial litigation and labor and employment matters.
Repersentative Matters
- Conducing legal due diligence in all forms in relation to several M&A deals and assisting with drafting the transactions documents (e.g. shareholders' agreements and share transfer agreements).
- Advised CDM International Inc, a large United States construction company, on its acquisition of shares in a Saudi joint-venture with Acwa Power, a leading Saudi energy company.
- Advising Swicorp in relation to the acquisition of a leading real estate company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Representation of clients on medium and high value commercial disputes including drafting petitions and court hearings.
- Representation a leader real estate development company in Saudi Arabia in its day-to-day.
- Representation of Alfaslia Group Holding Company in connection with establishing a joint venture in relation to preparation Cinema theaters in Saudi Arabia.
- Representation of Jazan Energy and Development Company, a Saudi Arabian publicly traded company, in connection with its SAR 592 million acquisition of the entire share capital of Bakri International Energy Company through a combination of cash and share-swap.
- Setting up multiple companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Representation of a client on it is dispute with the General Authority of Zakat and Tax in relation to VAT.
- Advising various semi-government companies in Saudi Arabia on matters relating to their day-to-day business.
- Advising multiple foreign companies on investments and joint venture opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
- Representation in connection with the set-up and registration of an ‘authorized person’ (a company licensed by the Capital Market Authority of Saudi Arabia) under the capital market law.
- Advising the financial advisors on legal matters.
